I have accommodations turned on, but my students can't see or use the translation or audio features. Why?

Even when accommodations are enabled, students must activate them from their own view. Students need to select their preferred language first before translation features will work.

Once a language is selected:

  • The globe icon (Reader Text Translated) will appear for students

  • Students must click the globe icon to view translated text

  • Translation and audio features may look different in student view than in teacher view

If accommodations are enabled and students still can't access the features, ask the student to show what they see on their screen so settings can be confirmed.
